Summary 1 for Zinczenko - In David Zinczenko's article titled "Don't Blame the Eater" he questions the motives of the fast food industry and claims that as a young teenager with a small amount of money the only thing readily available to buy is a cheeseburger. If you are a teenager hurting financially you are most certainly going to chose the less expensive option. When you walk by McDonalds and you see the banners advertising for the dollar menu you would almost be crazy to give it a second thought. In my view, however, there are numerous alternatives to the greasy and disqusting $1 Double Cheeseburger to be found under the golden arches. David could have saved a few dollars and took it to the local grocery store where he could have purchased a box of whole wheat crackers or a pound of apples. The pallet of good foods is so large and so vast that we cannot really point our fingers at the fast food companies when it comes to establishing the blame. It's all in the choices we make...

Summary 2 for Zinczenko - David Zinczenko wrote an article titled "Don't Blame the Eater" where he expresses his feelings on the obesity "pandemic" that we are experiencing here in America. In it he adressed one main problem: lack of available good food. One of his other main points was that type 2 diabetes has risen by 25% soley because of the integration of the Whopper. Now I don't see how you can blame all of it on the fast food corporations. I think that part of it is really on the backs of the mothers who are carrying these babies who chose not to eat healthy things during their pregnancy. On the other hand, maybe fast food resturants can refuse business to visibly pregnant women. They do have the right to refuse anybody's business at any time of their chosing, so maybe that is a small way fast food resturants can help out. I don't see any clear solution to the diabetes problem.
